Seascape paintings, original acrylic on canvas, triptych art, Last Evening Light
I recently completed a new painting in triptych format titled Last Evening Light, this painting is on three canvases to make a panoramic sunset scene, inspired by the moored boats at Christchurch Harbour, Dorset, I chose to just have one single boat, I quite often feature one solitary boat in my paintings, the scene is peaceful and calming, the water is tranquil with gentle waves to the shore, the colours are hot reds to depict a summer sunset, with deep reds, orange and yellows, the reflections of the boat are in the water below, the sun lights up the sea with shafts of shimmering yellow light
