I have titled these paintings Océan d’amour, they are a series of oil paintings of coastal beach scenes for all of those who love the ocean. Paintings full of colour, mood and atmosphere, emotive art that transports the viewer to a special place. Evoking perhaps memories, of places visited in seaside locations in the UK, or holidays abroad to beautiful places by the ocean
Inspirations for my paintings
The sea has always been a favourite subject for my art, the coast near where I live in Dorset is constantly inspiring, it’s a never ending source of vistas to paint.
These latest seascapes are created partly from the many photos I’ve taken on walks by the sea, and partly from my imagination, I enjoy creating exciting combinations of vibrant harmonious colours to use in my work
