Paintings on different shaped canvases make a nice change from the usual landscape or portrait format, they are a good way to explore originality and creativity, for something special and unique, the round canvas art shape works very well for many different subjects, I love to do expressive seascapes and large ocean wave paintings in this format, also landscapes with tree lined trails, for the patterns of the tree trunks, branches and leaves, the circular shape works very well

I enjoy painting many different subjects, lately I’ve been painting a few more moonlight night scenes, one of these is titled “Moondance” which is another round work of art on canvas, the shape of the moon and surrounding clouds work especially well as a round canvas artwork, the painting depicts a full moon shining brightly over the sea, the shimmering moonlight reflects on the water below, two sailboats are out on the horizon
